Bookkeeping Accountant Employment Opportunity

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to maintain company financial information within QuickBooks and other applications. A top priority will be generating invoices for computer systems, components, and technical support, including a large backlog of client billing.

Essential Duties:
Preparing invoices for technical support
  (including reconciling technician service logs)
Preparing invoices for computer systems
  (including online research of new components)
Preparing statements and tracking past due accounts
Reviewing invoices and statements
  (ensuring all information is accurate and complete)
Processing credit card transactions
Receiving and entering client payments
  (including preparing bank deposits)
Entering and reconciling vendor bills and receipts
Maintaining and correcting database records
Verifying and balancing receipts
Scanning documents and receipts
Communicating with clients regarding billing information
Documenting accounting procedures
Verifying records, sales quotes, & inventory
Organizing and responding to e-mail
Providing insight for accounting procedures
Creating charts and reports using MS Office
Assisting with general office duties
  (including answering phones and other tasks as assigned)

Qualifications:
QuickBooks expertise.
  (including 2+ years billing experience)
Technical proficiency.
  (ability to understand technician's service documentation)
Obsessive attention to detail.
Outgoing and friendly personality.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Experience with Internet applications.
Excellent organizational skills.
Professional communication skills.
Reliable, self-insured vehicle.
  (reimbursements for mileage are paid quarterly)
Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Windows file formats.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred.

Location: Minneapolis, MN.
(5 miles north of the Mall of America)

Hours: Full-Time, 9:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
(occasional evening & weekend hours may be required)

Compensation: $13 - $16 per hour based on qualifications.
